Official league guidelines and systems
The Macguffin is our league's special traveling award that adds an extra layer of competition to each matchup.
How it works:
- • One player holds the Macguffin at any given time
- • To win the Macguffin, you must defeat the current holder in a head-to-head matchup
- • The Macguffin can only change hands through direct competition
- • Stealing the Macguffin awards 2 draft points
- • Ending the regular season with the Macguffin awards 2 draft points
- • Ending the entire season with the Macguffin awards 2 draft points
- • The holder is marked with a crown (👑) on the standings
Example:
If Trevor holds the Macguffin and plays Derek in Week 5, Derek must beat Trevor to win the Macguffin.
Draft points are earned throughout the season for various achievements and determine your draft order for the following season. They work together with preseason picks to give you the ultimate choice in draft position.

View Draft Points →How Draft Order Works:
After earning draft points all season, you'll add preseason pick points to your total. Whoever has the most total draft points gets first choice of draft position - they can choose any pick they want, it doesn't necessarily have to be #1!
Before the start of a new season, we use one week of preseason games to determine the initial draft order.
How it works:
- • Each team picks winners for all preseason games in the selected week
- • You can only submit your picks once - no changes allowed
- • Each correct pick awards 1 draft point
- • Points are automatically calculated and added to your season total
- • Player with most total draft points chooses their draft position first
- • Tiebreakers are decided by whoever comes closest to predicting the total combined offensive yards in the first Chargers preseason game
Automatic Scoring:
After preseason games are completed, your correct picks are automatically calculated and appear in the draft points system. You can view your preseason performance on the draft points page.
Draft Position Selection:
The person with the most total draft points gets to choose any draft position they want (1st, 5th, 10th, etc.). Then the second-highest picks from remaining positions, and so on.
